A RECORD OF LIFE AND TIMES
IN THE CARNA AND CILL CHIARÁIN DISTRICT OF CONNEMARA OVER A GENERATION.

"lorras Aithneach" (the Windy Penninsula) is the name given to the
areas of Carna and Cill Chiaráin located 50 miles west of the Galway City in Ireland.  The Windy Penninsula is perched beside the Atlantic in the far west of the Gaeltacht, the Irish-speaking area.

These are the Yearbooks that were published in the community over the period 1990 - 2022. The story relates to the Carna/Cill Chiaráin area but has resonance with many other Gaeltacht communities during that period, and that generation.
